Property for sale in Belgium
Statbel, the Belgian statistical office, publishes the real estate figures about property for sale in Belgium for the first quarter of 2018. The price of an ordinary house in Belgium is on averaged 221,061 Euros in the first quarter of 2018, 3.5% more than in the first quarter of 2017. The average price of a villa was 362.913 Euros (1.3% more) and that of an apartment of 226.901 Euros (1.5% more) .
If we compare with the evolution between 2016 and 2017 (first quarters), the houses and apartments, properties for sale in general in Belgium have experienced a price increase a little more pronounced while the prices of the villas have a little less increased (from 3 , 5% between 2016-2017 and 1.3% between 2017-2018).
The Brussels-Capital Region is on average the most expensive region about property for sale in Belgium: in the first quarter of 2018, an ordinary house cost on average 442,726 Euros, a villa 1,222,510 Euros and an apartment 250,137 Euros. Both ordinary home (+ 12%) and villas (+ 12.9%) rose brusquely. The apartments also saw a clear rise in price (+ 5.9%).
The real estate market of the capital is in its image, unique in Belgium. Nowhere other than in Brussels, the difference between the market value of the goods and the incomes of the households residing there is also great.
One of the best area for hunting property for sale in Belgium is Knokke, the most luxurious resort town on the Flemish coast and one of the priciest areas in Belgium.
Belgians make up the largest number of buyers, but the area is seeing an increasing number of foreign buyers from France, Luxembourg, Holland and Germany as well.
